Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great weekend. We went to the lake (in Hot Springs) with our friends Britney, Jason and Silas. All of the kids and adults had a great time. Henry had some firsts...the first swing experience and the first time in a baby pool. He had a strange reaction to a blow up duckie tub that we tried to use there...it was incredibly offensive to him. I have never seen him so scared of something. We even brought it into the den and he flipped out. Now he is back home in his little tub and happy as a lark! Check out the mohawk.

Anna had a first as well. She went fishing with her very own fishing pole. It was fun, but they used corn as bait and didn't catch anything. I don't think the dora pole could have caught all too much anyways, but maybe next time. We hope to use the lakehouse a lot this summer. It was tons of fun.

Henry's First Road Trip

We went to visit our friends, Pam, Carter and Julian, in Dallas this past weekend. We drove and about halfway there, Anna said, "Can't we just go to the airport and fly to Dallas? This is taking too long!" We loved seeing our friends, eating great food and enjoying the beautiful weather. Besides the "too long" drive, it was a fabulous weekend.

Finally, I am a blogger!!!

Our family has only been bugging me for a few years to start a blog. Here it is! Anna recently celebrated her 3rd birthday. She had a friend party at pump it up and a family party at home.

Anna has been begging us for a pet. She said dog, I said no. She asked for a cat, I said "no way!" She said, "What about a hamster?" My skin crawled....absolutely not, and so we settled on a fish. He is red, and Anna proudly named him rojo!

Henry is already 6 months! I can't believe it. He is such a happy guy, and he absolutely LOVES his sister! Henry is eating real food and sitting up like a champ...but the major accomplishment is that after only 6 months, he is FINALLY sleeping through the night. I think that mommy and daddy are finally looking a little more rested.
