Snow day!

A couple inches of snow in the south and we call it a snow day!  No school, lots of sledding, hot chocolate and fun!  It is hard to believe we were at the beach few days ago!

Costa Rica

We were in Costa Rica last week!  It was Anna and Henry's first trip to the house and Costa Rica!  They loved it.  My parents went with us as well and we had such a fun trip.  This was our first trip to do a lot of new things!  We saw all kinds of animals, both by land and sea, took surfing lessons, snorkeled, sailed, swam, and overall just had a great time!  Anna and Henry really practiced using their Spanish as well.  They can't wait to go back next year!

Sailing with Captain Brad!  We sailed and snorkeled!  Sailing Costa Rica was one of our favorite activities!

Surfing!  This was one of my favorite activities!  We surfed at a beautiful beach that we drove to through a path that was cut by machetes followed by a quick hike.  They even had to cut some vines on our drive there.  Lucky for us we ended up being the only ones on the beach!  It was so beautiful!  Point Break Surfing is amazing!

This is an almond tree.  It looks like an umbrella and provides perfect shade!

This is where we snorkeled…in between those two islands at low tide!  We saw so many fish and explored a sandy reef.  There were puffer fish, angel fish and so much more.  The best part was that we took the dinghy over and then the kids could walk in to snorkel.  It was a great first experience for them rather just jumping into the ocean!  We loved Captain Brad.  He had kids the same age and really tailored our experience perfectly!
