Henry is 11 months old!

Sweet baby Henry is 11 months today. He has started giving us kisses and hugs. He points when he wants something, and he is obsessed with finding people to wave hello and goodbye to. It is quite entertaining. We are counting down the days until his seat can be turned around to face forward since we spend a large amount of time in carpool lines for various activities. I can't believe that there is only one more month to go and then my baby will be a toddler....

Teddy Bear Picnic

Anna had a teddy bear picnic at school on Friday after learning about the letter B. She was so excited to wear her new teddy bear dress and take her teddy to school. When I asked Anna what all they had done during the day she really didn't answer me, but she said that she had a great time. She did tell me about all of her friends (who had a tummy ache, who she played with, who was on vacation in Aspen), just none of the activities! I guess that is just a typical three year old.

JDRF 5K Walk

This morning we participated in the juvenile diabetes walk. It went over the "Big Dam Bridge" and back for a 5K walk. It was so much fun and inspiring to watch all of the people walk. There were teams for individual children with the disease with matching shirts (one of our favorite was "Anna Grace's Army" and "Chloe's Cause") and teams from local banks and businesses. We sported some FANCY tie-dyed shirts for Chad's office team. How cool do we look?? Afterwards, there was face painting and refreshments, but all Anna wanted to do was dance and listen to the live band playing classic rock music, even Henry got into the dancing. Anna did NOT want to leave the band and stop dancing! They are totally our children! Chad kept saying, just wait until the next wedding, Anna will go crazy! So true...

Anna walked almost the entire 5K...she was pretty tired out! Henry was DONE with the stroller!

Afternoon at the Peabody Park

We all went to a new park by the river on Sunday and met Anna's friend Jett and her mom there. Anna had so much fun running around with Jett, climbing the rock wall and running through tunnels. (Poor Chad had to crawl through them.) After all of the running around, Anna and Jett were hot and decided to go in the water part...

Henry decided to go in as well. That boy loves the water!

Anna and Henry's new classes

Anna started ballet, and I just had to post her in her leotard and tights. It is just the cutest thing ever. After months of watching Anna in her tumble and play class, Henry has started his diaper fun class. He was so excited and quite social with all of the other babies. It was fun to watch them interact!

Back to School

So Anna started a new school on Tuesday. I think that she was probably quite a bit unsure of the situation since she didn't sleep at all the night before. The first thing she said to Chad as he got her out of bed was, "I don't want to go to school." The morning was dramatic, but not quite as bad as I had feared. We made pancake faces for breakfast, complete with a hairbow and bacon hair that was supposed to look like Anna, in the hopes of making her more excited about the day. It worked and she was getting excited about going to school. She was a bit nervous when we first arrived, but excited to see other children she knew. Check out her facial expressions with Ms. Dona...you can see her nervousness. Anyways, I picked her up and she told me she had the funnest day ever. She loved school!!! What a relief! Wednesday she was asking to go to school and she was sad when I said no...this has NEVER happened. Today I thought I would get started dropping her off in the carpool line instead of walking her in, and she didn't even look back at me! All I could see was her big backpack (that she picked out herself and is extremely excited about) walking away. I think I was a little sad, but so proud of her at the same time. What a big girl...
