Popsicle Playdate
Today we hosted a popsicle playdate for Anna's school class at Yaya and Big Daddy's house. It was such a fun time! Big Daddy saddled up Shadow and all of Anna's friends took a ride. Henry rode as well! The kids went "mudding dude" in the big gator and took golf cart rides in the pastures. They played in the playhouse, treehouse, and on the swingset. Charlie and Mac were even there to help celebrate. It was great seeing them. Charlie decided that he and Big Daddy should do a dog show for the little kids with Cocoa and Sam. It was a great show! Thank you Yaya and Big Daddy! Anna and her friends had a ball. We love you!

Ballet class party!
We helped to host an end of the year ballet party on Thursday afternoon at Baker Park. It was so much fun! The girls played, wore "superstar dancer" sunglasses, and did a funny tutu relay! We had snacks and pink STAR cookies to celebrate the occasion! It was lots of fun! These girls were definitely little stars at the recital!

Ballet recital and rehearsal
This week was Anna's ballet recital. They had been practicing so hard, and it was adorable. I just cried when she danced on the "big stage"! They had their recital at Robinson Music Hall which is downtown. The rehearsal went well, and the actual recital night was even better. All smiles! :) Anna loved watching all of her friends in other classes and the big girls that went after her. It was a really special evening!
We are about to leave the house...

Backstage...it was wild down there!

In her spot when I was about to leave. I think she was a little nervous.

On stage

Anna took her bun out while watching the big girls. She was so excited with all of her flowers! Grandpa and Laine Laine got her red roses and we got her hot pink (as requested!).

Anna and her sweet friend, Lilly! They were so wired after the performances!

Memorial Day Weekend at Big Daddy and Yaya's
The pictures tell the story here! We have had a fun time at Big Daddy and Yaya's this weekend with Uncle Mike, Aunt Sarah, Steven and Lawson! Anna loved playing with her cousins. They even swam on Saturday morning with the daddies! It was a little cold for my taste, but I ended up going in (with my clothes on and cell phone in pocket) when Henry decided to go in. Luckily, he was wearing a life jacket (but his face went down) and I was standing right next to him. He was fine, but let's hope that he is a little less fearless next time or it is going to be a LONG summer!

Anna says, "Hey Steven, isn't this fun?" Hey, at least she isn't texting...what will the teenage years be like?

I really LOVE this John Deer thing...

Big Daddy putting a seatbelt on them...crazy women drivers as Daddy says

I KNOW I can do this myself now...

and he did!

Daddy and Henry off to see the horses aka neigh neigh

dinner time

Time to feed the horses

Ringing the bell to call them in

First ride on the 4 Wheeler! Just to park it...otherwise we would have been wearing a helmet. Don't worry mom!

Anna's last day of 3yr old preschool!
Today was Anna's last day in Ms.Dona's class! She has loved school this year, and so much of it is thanks to her special teacher. I don't have enough kind words for her! We just love her. I walked Anna in this morning to take pics, and when I returned to the car to look at them...there wasn't a card in the camera. We had to go to Henry's mom and me class, but we went back as the kids were about to leave and got some pics. Anna was a bit of a mess...she said she had been playing hairstylist, but we got some pics! She looks like she has been having fun...which is all that matters! :) They also gave us a WONDERFUL scrap book/portfolio with her work and pictures from the entire year. What a great year...

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to everyone! We had a great brunch this morning at Loca Luna. Anna and Henry surprised me with latte mugs that they painted themselves. Seriously, Anna apparently painted hers entirely by herself...it took her over an hour! Henry had a little help, and they both are beautiful. They are so proud of them! I am too! Chad gave me a gift certificate for the spa that I like here...YEA!!! I look forward to my treatments! We hope that everyone else had a happy day!

Doesn't he look as if he is pondering something? Probably trying to decide what to run and climb on next!

I love my sweet family!

It was also "Fill the boot" weekend, and Anna and Henry donated to the boot. Amazingly enough, Henry was too scared to go in the fire truck, even with Chad, but Anna loved it! Strange how he goes to the tallest slide at every park, but wouldn't get inside the truck...and he LOVES trucks!

Kris Allen Day in Little Rock
Ok...so seriously, I had never watched American Idol until this year. The tryouts were hilarious, and then when a boy from Arkansas made it to the final 12, we were hooked. So our favorite from the start, Kris Allen, has now made it to the final 3! We went downtown this morning to watch him do his "hometown concert". It was awesome! He is so cute and a great singer. Anna and Henry had a ball! Henry really started dancing when he started singing! Anna was so into it! She was screaming KRIS ALLEN, clapping and dancing like crazy! As we were leaving she said, "mommy, that was super fun, no super duper fun! When I grow up, I want to be on American Idol like Kris Allen".

Henry with his blankie aka chewie! Hello Linus! Excuse my appearance...it was a hot and HUMID day!

Anna on Daddy's shoulders! Screaming "We eat ice!" If you watch AI, you know why everyone screamed that!

Sorry that it is sideways and not too great...but it is worth seeing Henry's dance moves close to the end!
