Fun pics...

Here are some sweet pics from last Friday. Anna had her school program, and it was so sweet. Chad and I loved watching what they do in chapel.

We also went to Willis and Elaine's Christmas party Friday night. Anna was excited to see her own room over there...it was a surprise.

Parties and Painting...

So maybe I am crazy, but I had the little girls from Anna's class over to decorate cookies yesterday morning. I really didn't know what to expect with 10 little ones decorating with icing, sprinkles, etc., but it was such fun! Anna had a great time decorating cookies, doing some crafts and playing dress up with her school friends.

Now to the painting part, where again, maybe I am crazy, but we had the back half of our house painted starting yesterday afternoon, and they have already finished! I am so happy with the results. I will have to post pictures later after I have hung all of the art back up.

And back to the parties...we went to a fabulous party up the street at Anna's friends house yesterday afternoon. They had mimes doing tricks, a snow machine, a bounce house and all kinds of snacks and toys. The big hit however was a real train that took the kids all around the neighborhood. It was such a fun party!

When we got back home the house was quite stinky from the painting, and so we had a slumber party at Yaya and Big Daddy's. Thank you! Anna cried tonight, because we couldn't spend the night again!

Oh what a busy day! I think that tomorrow will be pajama day! :)

Nutcracker pic!

Our friend Kristy sent me these cute pics of Anna and Kathryn at the Nutcracker!

Our Festive Weekend!

This weekend was a busy weekend! One breakfast with Santa, two birthday parties and the Nutcracker ballet. We started the weekend with breakfast with Santa. Anna and Henry loved making their own gingerbread houses! Anna's looked beautiful, and I think that Henry ate most of the icing off of his! His looked nice as well though. They did crafts and Anna had her pic taken with Santa. Henry was again petrified...poor guy. We went home for a quick rest and then we went to a birthday party. This party also had Santa! We didn't even try to put Henry is Santa's lap this time, but this Santa was quite persistent trying to talk to Henry. Finally Henry just lifted his head that was buried in Chad's shoulder, said "choo choo" and he was DONE!

Sunday, Anna and I went to the Nutcracker ballet. It was beautiful, and we both really enjoyed it. Henry and Chad attended another birthday party while we were gone. Needless to say, everyone was exhausted last night! :)

Breakfast with Santa, Take 1 and the Peabody Ducks

Last Saturday, we attended the CARTI Breakfast with Santa. Henry was so excited that morning chanting, "ho, ho, ho", BUT when it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap he did a tuck and roll to get away! Anna was excited to tell Santa what she would like for Christmas, and she told him what Henry would like as well. He wasn't too scarred by Santa, since he thoroughly enjoyed the singing and dancing.

Afterwards, we went to the Peabody hotel to watch the ducks march down the red carpet. Henry had never seen this before, and as the ducks were coming down the glass elevator, Henry was screaming duck!!!! It was hilarious!

The coordinated dance moves on the dance floor!

You gotta love Henry...he only wants to wear boots. Smocked clothes with UGGS??? Oh well. I have to chose my battles!

The Ball...

Anna had a wonderful time at the ball. She was so exhausted when she got home, but when I asked her what her favorite part was her answer was "spending time with my daddy". I thought that was so sweet! Each girl was announced at the door by name and then given a tiara by Ms. Arkansas. Inside there was food, cupcakes, etc. Anna loved dancing to the radio disney dj there, although I think Chad would have preferred a different type of music... Afterwards, they went to the Peabody hotel to look at the tree and see if the ducks were out. The girls rode the glass elevator a few times, and then they had their own private sing-a-long with a piano and saxophone jazz player. He sang all kinds of songs with them, and then he finished off with Christmas carols. A bunch of other little girls ended up joining Anna and Lilly. I think that they had a great time!

Sugar Plum Ball Pre-Party

Anna and Chad attended the sugar plum ball daddy/daughter dance tonight. Anna was so thrilled. There was a pre-party at her friend, Tyndall's house before the dance. Henry and I just walked down because they are also our neighbors. We all had a great time seeing the girls all dressed up! They were having so much fun! Chad took the camera to the ball, and so I will have to post ball posts later. By the way, when Anna woke up this morning she said, "Is today finally the ball?" She has been so excited about this.
