Busy Weekend

This past weekend was so fun! We went to the Arts Center on Friday night for a family night where the museum came to life. There was also a ton of Egyptian activities for children to coincide with the Pharoah exhibit on loan here. Anna and Henry had a ball making papyrus, Egyptian animal puppets, digging for treasures and much more. We even went out to dinner with two families afterwards...it was wild with all of the kids!
This pic of our family was actually taken for a local magazine

Here is a pic with Anna and the flute players from the painting. If you notice the painting hanging on the wall, they are dressed like the girls in the painting. There were so many pieces of art that came to "life" in this way...it was so interesting!

Saturday, we went to Disney on Ice. It was Henry's first time to a show...it wasn't quite his thing, but Anna loved the characters and skating. Everyone LOVED the icee like drinks that they had! That was definitely Henry's favorite part!

Spring time pics!

We have been having a great time outside lately in this gorgeous weather!

Anna also had pajama day at school recently!

Cupcake Party!

Yesterday we had Anna's cupcake party in our backyard. Thank goodness for a bunch of things...beautiful weather, my parents help, the fact that they got the jumper in the backyard after saying that they couldn't 45 min. before the party, and tons of little girls (20 to be exact) to help Anna celebrate turning 5! It was a such a fun party. Anna had a great time, and she actually cried for a minute when her friends were leaving. She didn't want them to go! Once again, I can't believe she is actually 5!

Cupcake lollipops I made to look like the bakerella ones!

All of the girls had monogrammed aprons! I wish that I would have gotten a picture with all of them wearing them!

Decorating their chef hats with glitter foam stickers~

Henry at the other end of the table...he held his own with all of the big girls! :)

Pinata time! So fun, but a bit nerve wracking with 4 and 5 yr olds with a bat! Some of those girls had quite a swing!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We hope that all of you had a wonderful day! We enjoyed an egg hunt this morning in our backyard, a wonderful church service, and a fabulous brunch today!

Our attempt at a family picture!

Choo Choo and Egg Hunt

Yesterday we went to a "choo choo" birthday party that also had an egg hunt with the Easter Bunny! It was so exciting. Henry was REALLY into the choo choo train...as expected. He also loved the conductor hat party favor and wore it for the rest of the day. Anna had lots of fun with her friends that were there as well. It was a great party!

Happy Birthday Anna!

I can not believe that my BABY girl is five! That just sounds too old. We had a wonderful day on her birthday yesterday. She was so excited about going to school since she shares the same birthday with her friend, Mia. We took petit fours with A's, 5's and M's on them to celebrate. After school we met Chad for a birthday lunch at one of Anna's favorite places. Anna also had ballet, and then we had a birthday dinner at home. Her meal of choice: filet mignon, green beans, dinner rolls and caprese salad.

We are so lucky to have Anna! She is quite a personality, and she definitely keeps me on my toes. Anna has an amazing memory, and she is very inquisitive...sometimes we have to google for answers to her questions. Her favorite "toys" are her brother, books, dolls and princesses! When asked what she wanted for her birthday, she said books, clothes and shoes...she is my kind of child. Anna loves her brother so much, and she is quite protective of him. She loves her friends as well, and she is quite the social butterfly. She actually had her first sleepover after her friend Mia's birthday party on Thursday night. I was WAY more nervous than she was! She had a blast, and apparently the only time we were mentioned was when she said her prayers at night. She didn't want to leave the next day!
