More Christmas in Little Rock...

We celebrated Christmas last night with Willis, Elaine and Scott. They came over for a great steak dinner and presents. We had a great time! Anna especially loved playing dollhouse with Grandpa and playing rockstar with her new headset/music player toy that Scott gave her. Henry joined in with the new toy guitar!

Merry Christmas!

We had so much fun on Christmas day...we were all out in my parents living room waiting for Anna to wake up VERY EARLY that morning. Anna had been sleeping in my parents' room and apparently she had woken up and was talking to herself for awhile. My mother thought this was the funniest thing ever. She was talking about Santa and hoping that he brought gifts for everyone. When she came out, she looked shocked to see everyone and everything there. It took awhile for it all to sink in, but she was most interested in seeing if Santa had eaten his snack before looking at her toys. She also wanted to check outside if the reindeer had eaten theirs. Henry had a great time as well checking out all of his new toys.

We also had a wonderful time celebrating with Uncle Larry, Aunt Camille, Lawrence and Cameron at Nana's house after Christmas. It was great seeing all of them, and Anna and Henry loved playing with the teen boys...they were so sweet and patient with the little ones!

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve. We went to church in the afternoon for a family service, and then we came home to get ready for Santa. This was very exciting this year!!! Anna and Henry put out reindeer food, a snack for Santa (which included homemade cookies and a few carrots, since Anna said he needed something healthy) and tracked Santa on a website that Grandpa had found.

Houston Trip

We had a great time visiting Houston for the holidays this year. Anna and Henry loved playing with Aunt Laura, Nanny, Grandpa, Nana and Max. We went to the aquarium at Moody Gardens in Galveston one day. The damage from Hurricane Ike can still be seen everywhere, but amazingly all of the animals survived the storm! Anna also had lots of fun on her scooter and visiting with some friends! What a great visit!

Cocoa and Cookies

Anna had three little girls from her class over today to make cookies, reindeer food and have hot cocoa. It was so much fun celebrating the Christmas season with friends! It turned out Anna, Henry and Lilly were wearing the same little shirt! (They are made by a lady here in town!) They looked so cute!

Playing with friends

We had a nice visit from our friends Silas and Britney last week. Henry just loves Silas! Anna had fun playing with the boys...

Afterwards, I tried to get a picture of both kids by the tree in their matching shirts....Henry is just too busy! Anna loves matching with her brother. She told Santa that she wanted a toy for them to share and another set of matching outfits for the two of them. I thought that it was sweet!

Breakfast with Santa, Take 2

Yesterday we went to breakfast with Santa at the country club. They had a fabulous photographer and assistant who actually got Henry to smile. Their pictures are probably fabulous, but here is a pic Chad took without the flash...

Anna made two ornaments, her own gingerbread house and rode in a horse drawn carriage after the breakfast. It was so cold, but lots of fun! Anna had me take a pic of the carriage and horse(Ben) after we got off. She was so excited. We hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! We are really enjoying it through the eyes of a 3 year old...

Saturday

Oh what a busy Saturday! We started out early going to the pancakes with Santa at the Children's hospital here. There were all kinds of activities for the kids to do, and the firemen were there to serve pancakes. Henry wasn't the biggest fan of Santa, but Anna loved him. We saw some friends there, and it was a lot of fun.

Next was the circus...Chad, Willis, Elaine and I took Anna to the Ringling Brothers circus. We were able to go on the floor beforehand to meet some of the circus people and do some of the activities. Anna was a little overwhelmed, but she enjoyed getting her picture taken with a pretty performer. She loved watching the show, did not enjoy cotton candy (I thought yea!, but I think Chad was a little disappointed) and we enjoyed it as well. As much as I love the Wiggles, this was a little more entertaining for the adults.

Thanksgiving celebrations begin...

Happy Thanksgiving! We hope that everyone had a wonderful day!

We began our Thanksgiving celebrations on Wednesday night at Graffitis. We had a great time in the party room (thank goodness we had the room with all of the kids) and enjoyed great food and company. The children did a little performing for all of us! It was lots of fun!

Today we went out to Big Daddy and Yaya's house for an absolutely amazing meal...I am still stuffed. We all had a great time, but I think that the kids had the most fun of all. After eating great food and sampling a half dozen desserts, it was time to go out and play. We changed clothes and headed outside for four wheeling, golf cart riding, gator riding and all sorts of other activities. Anna's favorite activity was "going mudding, dude" in the gator with Aunt Erika. Henry loved steering the golf cart and petting the horses. He just loves animals and was hugging Shadow.

We had a great Thanksgiving, and we are so thankful for all of our friends and family! We are really blessed!
