We have been busy!

We have been busy getting back into the swing of things with school and all of our activities. It seems as if we are always on the go! Even the past couple of weekends have been busy. We went to a festival at the firefighter training center awhile back. They had all kinds of activities for kids. They even had a smoke filled building that kids were taught how to get out of. That wasn't very interesting for my children, however the LOVED climbing all over the fire trucks. Last weekend we also did the JDRF walk like last year...Anna walked the 5K again, but we didn't stay for the festivities afterwards. Both of our kiddos ended up getting colds, and clearly they were starting to feel bad while we were there. We also had a fun visit with cousins in town from Vancouver. Anna loved seeing David, Tina, Faye and Mady!

Way up high in the apple tree...

Two little apples smiled down at me!
I shook that tree as hard as I could
Down came the apples
Mmm, they were good!

We said this little poem on the way to go apple picking in Greenbrier, AR this morning! It is a beautiful day here, and it was a super fun outing. Henry loves to eat apples...I think that he eats at least one a day. Anna loves saying the poem. We ended the outing with iced cookies from Ed's Bakery (our favorite)! What a fun morning!

Henry is ready for some apples!

Anna was ready too! Bitty Baby was there to help out :)

So I just get to pick an apple off of the tree and eat it? This is my kind of fun!

Hauling back our 20lbs of apples! Anna wants to make apple pie this afternoon. Yummy!

Ballet class

Today Anna started ballet, tap and gymnastics class! She was so excited to be in a class with a lot of friends! I don't think there is much cuter than all the little ones in their leotards and tutus! I know that they will have a fun year!

First Day of School

Today was Anna's first day of school! I can't believe that she is in the 4 year old class! Her last year at St. Marks! We just love her school. Anna really thinks about things...last night she was talking all about school. She was a bit nervous, because she isn't in the class with her best little friend, Lilly. This morning she was still nervous, but excited too. She was a little teary when I was leaving, but I knew she would be fine. Fast forward three hours to the carpool line, and she bounced in the seat thrilled that she had such a great day! She asked, "Is Daddy meeting us for a special lunch on my first day of school?" We went to one of our favorite little sandwich places, and she ended up seeing tons of friends! They sat at the kids table and had a ball! Their conversations were hilarious...they were talking all about school and who was in each class...girls are so funny!

Tailgating!

Woo Pig Sooie! We had so much fun at the tailgate for the AR game this weekend in Little Rock. Great friends, great food and a great game! I had never tailgated before, and it was quite an experience. Anna and Henry had a fun time too! They saw the band pass us, ate some food, and saw some of their friends! Chad worked so hard smoking pork and chicken for a few days this week. He has gotten it down to quite a science with a great secret rub recipe. It was quite a success. Anna was pumped about the red popcorn we made! The Hogs won the game! I wish that I would have taken more pictures of our set up, but we were too busy having fun!

We are about to leave...

Henry loved watching the band! It was loud :)

What do you think the girls are talking about now?
