My birthday

Yesterday was my birthday, and kudos to my sweet husband for making it so special! We had already celebrated over the weekend with a great night out (Anna and Henry BOTH spent the night at Chad's Dads house), and a "party" as Anna called it with cake, etc. on Sunday. I went to get my hair highlighted and when I came home this is what I had waiting! The kids were so excited and proud! We had a wonderful dinner and even homemade dessert! Chad had cooked it all himself with Anna and Henry "helping"! I was so impressed! Thank you!

This week...

This week everyone was finally able to return to our normal activities! Anna did another camp at PA, and she loved it. It was "Happy Birthday to you" and each day was a different kind of party. They practiced good manners and had tons of fun! Henry went to Ms. Cami's at the racquet club and had a ball. We hadn't been in so long, and there were quite a few new faces. Henry was very interested in all of the pretty girls! Henry and I also went to storytime at the library. After being stuck at home for two weeks he has found some new ways of getting what he wants...

I think that I have seen the face Anna is making before...

FYI...if you can't reach something, get out a bowl, turn it over and use it as a step stool. If that doesn't work, grab an oven mit for a longer reach.

On the way to slumber party day! She is getting so big!

The twins are here!

We are so thankful that the twins are here. Aunt Shelly (my sister Michelle) gave birth to them this morning at 4:51 and 4:52. They are doing well. Davis Wylie weighed 6 lbs 14 ounces and Ainsley Claire weighed 5 lbs 2 ounces. Ainsley is in the NICU until she absorbs some fluid in her lungs (they say she should be fine), and Davis is in the room with Michelle and Mike. Anna was so excited this morning. Her first question was "Do they have hair like Henry and I?" Then it was, "Is the girls hair dark like mine and the boys hair brown with yellow like Henry's?" We can't wait to go and meet them!

Swimming Lessons!

This week we did swim lessons! Anna really enjoyed them, and we are so proud of her swimming! I think that she is pretty proud of herself. She couldn't wait to show Chad when he returned from his business trip! No more swim vest for her!

Introducing Princess Anna...

Anna finished her princess training camp today with a coronation and ball. It was beautiful! All of the girls had so much fun. I think that they all want to do it again next summer. Queen Nettles was quite a hit (she is a kindergarten teacher), and Anna cried when we left her. She certainly made a great impression on the girls in a short week! The girls danced with each other, the prince and their daddies. They also used polite manners at the refreshment table and punch bowl. They had been practicing!

Anna's Princess Camp

Anna has been attending Princess Camp at Pulaski Academy this week! She has loved it! Some of her favorite activities have been making fairy wings, jewelry boxes with jewels on them and filled with necklaces, escaping from the paparazzi in a disguise, having a tea party, getting manicures and much much more! Tomorrow is the coronation ceremony with a ball following it. Apparently, they have been practicing dance moves all week along with learning sweet manners and etiquette. How fun! Thank goodness she had this because Henry has had hand, foot and mouth disease (a virus) which has led to lots of fussiness and sleepless nights. Hopefully he will be better soon...

Thank goodness for Lilly's mom who picked Anna up and brought her home each day! Thank you!

All of the disguise goodies for keeping away from paparazzi!

Fourth of July!

This year we had a fun, laid back 4th of July! We swam at the racquet club in the morning, and then we went to Laine Laine and Grandpa's for hotdogs, hamburgers and swimming. Anna and Henry love love love the water. They go crazy at the club on the slide and Anna even goes on the diving board. The big excitement for the day was when Anna was swimming completely on her own at Grandpa's. She even jumped in and swam to us. We are doing some swim lessons next week, and I am hoping that they will be really successful. After swimming so much the kiddos were so sleepy! We didn't stay up for fireworks this year, maybe next year!:)
