Daddy/Daughter beach trip!

This weekend Anna and Chad went to the beach with a bunch of dads and daughters!  There were 7 dads and 8 girls ranging from 1st through 4th grade!  They all had a ball!  Here are some pics from the weekend!

Meanwhile...all of the moms got together last night for a mom/son party!  The boys (Henry was the youngest) played and watched  Star Wars while we had wine and appetizers!

Last night was a big night!  Anna went to her very first slumber party, and then Henry, Chad and I went to the UNC football game!  We had such a great time watching the game...Henry loved the great seats, endless popcorn, ice cream and food in the club area.  (Chad and I enjoyed the air conditioning since it was much warmer yesterday than it had been all week!)

What a super Super Cooper!

Yesterday we participated in the Super Cooper Foundation Family 5k!  It was so much fun!

Anna and Henry had a lot of fun doing all of the activities after the race!  Anna loved the photo booth and running around with friends.  Henry LOVED the mechanical bull.  I really think he went on it about 40 times!

Today was the first soccer game of the season.  We happened to be playing Henry's best friend from school.  It was so fun watching him!  He was on FIRE!  Soccer has "clicked" with him and he scored about 6 goals!  He was thrilled that he scored the first goal of the game.  The best part of the game was when he scored his second goal and his friend (and opponent) was going after the ball and fell.  Instead of cheering for himself he ran to his friend's side to say "are you okay?".  Then when we said good job bud, his response was, "bo's okay!".  Sweet boy!  He just melts our hearts sometimes, and he has them racing in others!  Now we are off to a family 5k!  It is a gorgeous Saturday to be outside.

Soccer season begins...

We have been super busy these first few weeks of school getting used to all of our activities.  Henry has an awesome soccer team full of friends and great coaches!  Anna is thrilled to be taking a musical theater class with a bunch of her friends!  I can't wait for the big performance in November.  Both Anna and Henry are taking a gymnastics class once a week as well.  They love it!

Henry's first day of school!

Henry was so thrilled for his first day of school...he even woke up at 5:45 in anticipation!  He had already had a visit day, but today was his first full day!  He has gotten so big...I will miss him since he will be at school 4 mornings a week.  I can't believe this is his last year of preschool!

It was a great day!
