Hilton Head Island

We just returned from a great trip to Hilton Head Island!  We loved it!  The island is so pretty with the marshes, trees with moss and beaches!  We had yummy meals and lots of fun!  The kids loved climbing to the top of the lighthouse,  horseback riding, and playing in the ocean of course!  We loved the calm tidal pools to play in each afternoon as well.

Wonka, Jr!

A few weeks ago Anna did a one week camp and performed the musical Wonka, Jr.  She had auditions  a few weeks before and had practiced a lot.  She had the role of Augustus Gloop (one of the five golden ticket winners).  She was so great with all of her lines and solo!  It was such a fun show to watch!  All of the kids did great!

Bat Mitzfah Fun

Last night we attended a Bat Mitzfah for our sweet friend and mother's helper!  She did an amazing job during the service reading Hebrew and leading the service.  It was really impressive.  

The party afterwards was super fun.  I think that our children had one of their "best nights ever!"  They loved dancing, the photo booth, games and foods...

The kids food table included all of their favorites and then the desserts were to die for...three flavors of milk shakes, flavored popcorn and chocolate chip cookies!  

The adults had fun as well!  I think we all loved watching the kids and visiting of course!  

I think part of the fun of the night was just having all of our friends there...the 8th grade girls all know Anna and Henry and so they just all danced and had fun together.  Henry was asking all of the girls to go in the photo booth or dance with him.  At one point he was break dancing with the 8th grade girls surrounding him...he was in heaven!  :)

Last day of school!

Today was Anna's last day of 2nd grade!  She had pj day, and after school she had her friends over.  Unfortunately there was a TON of rain and we were soaked after pick up...

The girls made some cute picture frames and then we made frog cupcakes for scroggs frogs!  

I know Anna will always remember 2nd grade with her sweet friends and awesome teachers!  

Last week of school festivities

Monday was dress as your favorite character day.  Anna and her friends decided to be Disney characters.  Anna is Hamm from Toy Story!

Tuesday was sports day and the second grade store!  It was so fun to shop in the second grade classrooms.  We were able to purchase items like jewelry, origami, bookmarks, cookbooks, clay figures as well as purchase services such as shoulder massages and manicures.  The classes pay back the teachers for the supplies, figure out their profits, give a portion to a charity they vote on, and use the rest to buy something special for their classroom!  It was a great lesson on commerce and super fun too!

Today is crazy hair day... 

What a week!  2 more days of school!
