Swimming

This weekend we spent quite a bit of time swimming...there isn't much else to do in this heat! Anna usually "swims" with her tube on, but she decided to try out swimming on her own, and SHE DID IT! She did a wonderful job keeping her head up and using her arms and legs to swim to Daddy. I am so proud of her. Britney captured the moments for us! Thank you, Brit!

Family beach shots

We managed to get a few family beach pictures...it was raining as we did them, but we still were able to get a few good ones. It was past Henry's bed time, but he was quite a trooper! By the way, he is such a fast crawler now and pulling up on everything. Life is REALLY busy again.

More Florida pics

There are so many good ones...I had to do more.

Fun in Florida

We just returned from a trip to Florida with all of my side of the family. It was so much fun seeing everyone. When I was younger, my great grandmother lived in Florida and every summer we would go to stay. We repeated some of the fun traditions for the youngest generation this trip. It was like Christmas in July, because these children were getting gifts everyday! The girls (Anna, Madeline, and Abby) had so much fun wearing matching dresses, nightgowns, etc. The boys (Cole and Henry) held their own, and although they didn't have matching attire, they managed to have a ball. Cole was so sweet with the little ones! Anna just LOVED playing with her cousins, and she can't wait to see them again. Here are a few pics...we took over 600 while we were there! All of the adults had a great time as well. It was so amazing to have everyone (27 of us) together. I don't remember the last time that actually happened.

Weekend at the lake

We had a great weekend at the lake with our friends Kelly, Bill and Cole. The kids woke up Saturday morning ready to fish! They went to a bait shop for crickets, worms and fishing licenses. While waiting in line for the license, Anna and Cole dropped the cricket bucket. Crickets went everywhere and Anna and Cole squealed and took off the other direction. Poor Chad and Bill were on the floor scrambling to pick up all of the crickets...if only I had a picture to post of that! The locals were getting a good laugh. Bill is an excellent fisherman, and he started catching fish quickly. (He had a regular sized pole.) Anna loved touching the fish, giving them kisses and throwing them back in. Chad was stuck with the 1 1/2 foot long Dora pole. Anna was anxious to catch one on her pole (or for Chad to catch one). He did finally catch one and it happened to be the largest one of the day! There was quite a bit of excitement! Henry enjoyed the nice weather and showed off his two teeth! He also loved swinging down by the lake. Anna also swam in the lake and jumped off the dock for the first time. She definitely is my daughter considering that before going in she asked, "What about all the fish in the lake? Where will they be while I am swimming?" She was a little nervous about them, but she was so brave and had a great time!

I can't believe that Henry is 8 months

Today Henry is 8 months old. He is such a good little baby, and Anna is a wonderful big sister. He loves playing with his sister, pulling up on everything and just being wild! Anna loves going in to get him after naps and in the morning. He is so happy when he sees her.

Playdate

Anna and Henry had a playdate the other day with our friends Kathryn and Lindsey. Anna and Kathryn loved playing dress up, and Lindsey was very interested in Henry's hair.
