Go Guineas Go! Henry's first soccer game

So I am officially a "soccer mom"! Henry had his first soccer game yesterday! It was so much fun! He loved it, but he was tired after about 25 minutes of straight play time. They ended up calling the game early since most of the children felt the same way! It was so fun watching him run the field with his enormous smile! There was all of the usual first game excitement...making a goal in the wrong goal, kicking the ball out and playing on another field, etc. Anna loved watching her brother and made him a sign that said, "go Henry go, You are super". She saw a ton of her friends there, and she loved the "social" part of the soccer fields! It should be a fun season! So long lazy Saturday mornings! Hello soccer season!

Henry's first day of soccer and school

Henry started soccer yesterday afternoon...it was quite a sight! He loved it! We have his first game Saturday morning...should be super interesting! :)

Henry also finally made it to his first day of school this week after missing Tuesday and Thursday this week since he was sick! He had so much fun! They took him out of the car in the carpool line and he said "bye mommy" and was off! Sweet little boy!

Aunt Laura comes to visit!

Aunt Laura came to visit this past weekend! We had so much fun hanging out with her. It was so nice to have her here...poor thing was sick while she was here, but she was a trooper! We love you Laura! Thanks for coming to visit! xoxo

First day of tennis for Anna!

Anna had her first tennis lesson yesterday! She loved it. Afterwards, she was very interested in watching our neighbor play! She is awesome and ranked third in the US for under age 14! Wowza!

Henry's visit day and third day of school for Anna

Anna is loving school! We are thrilled! :)

Henry went for a visit day at his new preschool...we love it! He was so excited to see his cubby, classroom, new friends and the playground. His teachers are incredible and we are looking forward to a great year! His first "real" day is Tuesday!

1st day of school was a success!

Hip hip hooray! Anna had a great first day of school! She was obviously not worried about the hair situation since she was telling everyone about it! She was ready for day 2, and at drop off in the morning she went right in...all smiles at pick up again! I think it will be a great year!

Anna's first day of first grade!

Today was the first day of first grade for Anna! She was excited and nervous at the same time! I think mostly excited until we went through the front door of the school. She didn't have any of the girls from last year in her class, but I know she is going to make a bunch of new friends. There are some of the sweet boys in there that we know!

Just a little FYI and a story that someday will be funny! Last night before dinner Anna was cutting American girl doll pictures out of the catalog...one of her favorite things to do! She was concentrating and somehow cut her hair! Right in the front...about two inches in and two inches shorter. She was so upset...of course this happens the night before school, Chad out of town for work, etc... I tried showing her some hairstyles that would hide it, and I briefly thought of taking her somewhere to quickly cut it BUT she was still upset. Luckily, a yummy dinner, lots of books and bedtime made her forget all about it. We were going to do a ponytail this morning, but she ended up wearing a headband. I don't think that anyone will notice and she didn't mention it this morning! Hip hip hooray! Maybe we will go this weekend to get it blended in! :)
