The countdown until school begins...
I can't believe that we only have one more week of summer. Anna will begin 4 year old preschool EVERY morning after labor day! I think that she will enjoy it, but I can't believe that she is this big! Henry and I will be finding some new activities to do without "diddy", but I know that he will miss her! We had lots of fun this week at the zoo and playing outside. Anna and our neighbor even stayed up late and built a lincoln log house for her princesses! We ended the week at the jump zone for Silas' birthday. Anna had a ball! She loves playing there! Henry loved the car near the door...once he saw that, he wasn't very interested in the jumping things!

This weekend!
Is it really August in the south? We had our windows open this weekend with highs in the 70's. It is just gorgeous...hopefully, it continues for awhile. We had a busy Saturday with 2 birthday parties. Our sweet neighbor turned one, and they had a jumper that Anna adored. Henry loved playing with her new motorized car! Anna had another party in the afternoon at a little place here called pink bliss. The girls were all dressed up! This was the first time she allowed them to do her hair and makeup! She loved it!

Texas Trip
This past week we were in Texas! It was a great trip, but unfortunately we had a rocky start. Henry is fine now, but he hit his head and had a concussion while we were there...the first day, to be exact. One ride in an ambulance, ER visit, CT scan and a few days later and he was fine. We were able to visit the new twin cousins, and Uncle Mike and Michelle were able to check out Henry again...nice having DR's around after such a scary ordeal. We visited with Nana, swam and even went to Schlitterbahn! It was so much fun. Anna and Henry were VERY into the waterslides and rapids. No fear in our children. :) Chad and I went to Camp Longhorn for the weekend while Anna and Henry stayed at Nanny and Grandpa's house! Thank you! We had a great time "playing" at camp like kids!

Anna was THRILLED to be able to hold Ainsley

Our sweet friends, Jeremy and Beth

The girls from my cabin growing up...we all decided to go via facebook!

Church Mountain...isn't the TX hill country just gorgeous?

The wrangler girls always sing at church mountain, and we were asked to do it. Wrangler girls circa 1992!

Chad was one of the speakers this year! He did a wonderful job. We can't wait for our children to go. The fun part is that we will be sending our children the same term as all of our friends kids.

My birthday
Yesterday was my birthday, and kudos to my sweet husband for making it so special! We had already celebrated over the weekend with a great night out (Anna and Henry BOTH spent the night at Chad's Dads house), and a "party" as Anna called it with cake, etc. on Sunday. I went to get my hair highlighted and when I came home this is what I had waiting! The kids were so excited and proud! We had a wonderful dinner and even homemade dessert! Chad had cooked it all himself with Anna and Henry "helping"! I was so impressed! Thank you!

This week...
This week everyone was finally able to return to our normal activities! Anna did another camp at PA, and she loved it. It was "Happy Birthday to you" and each day was a different kind of party. They practiced good manners and had tons of fun! Henry went to Ms. Cami's at the racquet club and had a ball. We hadn't been in so long, and there were quite a few new faces. Henry was very interested in all of the pretty girls! Henry and I also went to storytime at the library. After being stuck at home for two weeks he has found some new ways of getting what he wants...
I think that I have seen the face Anna is making before...

FYI...if you can't reach something, get out a bowl, turn it over and use it as a step stool. If that doesn't work, grab an oven mit for a longer reach.

On the way to slumber party day! She is getting so big!

The twins are here!
We are so thankful that the twins are here. Aunt Shelly (my sister Michelle) gave birth to them this morning at 4:51 and 4:52. They are doing well. Davis Wylie weighed 6 lbs 14 ounces and Ainsley Claire weighed 5 lbs 2 ounces. Ainsley is in the NICU until she absorbs some fluid in her lungs (they say she should be fine), and Davis is in the room with Michelle and Mike. Anna was so excited this morning. Her first question was "Do they have hair like Henry and I?" Then it was, "Is the girls hair dark like mine and the boys hair brown with yellow like Henry's?" We can't wait to go and meet them!

Swimming Lessons!
This week we did swim lessons! Anna really enjoyed them, and we are so proud of her swimming! I think that she is pretty proud of herself. She couldn't wait to show Chad when he returned from his business trip! No more swim vest for her!
