It was a great day!

off to a playdate...

Back to school...

I have to say... this year I am a bit sad about the kids heading back to school.  I will miss having them at home with me each and every day!  We had a fun summer, but I know that this year will be lots of fun too!

Anna started SECOND grade today.  I am not quite sure how and when she grew to be so big.  It seems as if it was only yesterday when she was heading to preschool.

She is super excited to have a bunch of friends in her class this year.  It will be a great year!  Henry starts school next week, but we have already had a visit from his teacher at our house and tomorrow is his visit day!

Henry will miss Anna!

2nd grade here we come!

Anna chose her first day of school outfit herself this year!  :)

Trip to Houston

We had a great trip to Houston last week.  It was wonderful seeing family, swimming and seeing my parents new beach house that is almost finished!  It is gorgeous!  Too bad I didn't take many pictures...

Anna...the camper!

Anna attended a day camp not to far away from our house the last week of July!  She loved it and promptly let me know that she is ready to spend the night next year!  What?!?  When did she get so old?  She could go to Camp Longhorn next year, but I can't imagine sending her for two or three weeks yet...we shall see what happens!  Maybe a starter camp around here first is our best bet. :)

Special visitors and my birthday!

Our sweet friends came to visit a couple of weeks ago, and we all had a great time catching up!  We can't wait to meet their new addition arriving this fall!  Kate (an amazing baker)  made me a beautiful red velvet cake to celebrate!  It was delicious!  I had a great birthday!

The last pics of Kiawah...

Aunt Alexee and sweet baby Geneva came to visit us one day from Savannah!  We had so much fun with them!  We went and ate lunch at the beautiful Ocean Course where the PGA championship will be played in a few short weeks.  Chad played this course on Monday and loved it.  It is ranked as one of the hardest courses in the US...maybe because of the strong ocean breeze?  It is absolutely gorgeous!  Every hole has an ocean view...

we went back for dinner one night...you can see in the background all of the set up for the PGA!

We were sad to leave Kiawah!

Kiawah continued...

More time at the beach, a kayak ride, carnival night, water slides and starfish!

on the kayak ride, the dolphins were so close!

Can you spot the baby alligator?

Henry,  Anna and Chad LOVED the slides!

carnival night!

They stayed right together...it was so cute!

Morning bike ride on the beach!  We were on starfish patrol...throwing them back in the ocean so that they wouldn't dry out!
