Trick or Treat!

Anna and Henry had such a fun Halloween this year! Anna was a beautiful ladybug and Henry was our wild lion. We started out by trick or treating at Chad's office. Anna had a ball, and Henry loved looking/roaring at everyone! On Friday, Anna had a Halloween party at school, and then we trick or treated in the early evening! We hope everyone had a happy Halloween!

All aboard for birthday fun!

We had a small party for Henry on Saturday. It was so much fun. He was a little overwhelmed at first, but then he started having fun. He liked the icing of his cake, but he did not want to eat the cake part. He actually walked across the room the first time after his party! (previously he had walked about 4-5 steps max) I missed it, but Chad grabbed the flip camera and got one of the first times from behind. Anna loved singing Happy Birthday and letting him know how everything works on your party day! After she had been in bed for awhile that night, she frantically called me in her room to let me know that we had forgotten to let Henry blow out the candles. I told her that we would do them on his real birthday the next day, and that seemed alright with her. She never misses a beat!

Henry's friend Silas

Henry is one!

I can't believe that our sweet baby Henry is now a TODDLER! He is such a fun little boy, and we can't believe a year has already passed. Anna is a wonderful big sister who is always thinking of her little brother. When I pick her up from school, the first thing she does is give Henry a big kiss. Henry loves his big sister, playing with trucks (or anything with wheels), balls and making or dancing to music. He showers all of us with hugs and kisses, even Anna's dolls and his stuffed animals. He is a happy little boy who is thrilled to be facing forward in his carseat. He loves being right in the middle of everything. He is very busy and always on the move whether it be by walking, pushing something, crawling or CLIMBING. I think that we definitely have a climber on our hands! He has brought such joy to our of our lives. What a great first year!

Here are his stats:
Weight 23 lbs 3 ounces (50%)
Height 31 inches (90%)

Houston Trip and State fair

We went to Houston for a week a few weeks ago. We had a great time! Anna and Henry fell in love with Max the dog. They loved being with Nanny, Grandpa, and Nana as well! The AR state fair was going on the weekend we returned. Anna had a blast riding the rides and winning prizes at the games, and Henry enjoyed looking at everything!!!

Henry also got a big boy haircut...before

Playing out at Yaya's

Oh what a busy day! We had school, lunch, naps, ballet and then out to Yaya's to play! Aunt Erica and cousins Charlie and Mac were in town! Everyone had a ball playing outside with all of the toys. They especially loved the golf cart rides and john deer ride on toy. Anna even drove it for the first time, let's just say...she needs some practice driving! The kids also brushed one of the horses and pet him. It was a great afternoon! I just had the flip video...there were definitely some great ones that I had to share!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to a pumpkin patch in Mayflower, AR (aka the boonies). It was one of those "are we there yet?" drives. It turned out to be really fun. We went on a tractor ride out to the real pumpkin patch where Anna chose her own pumpkin. There were lots of things to play with and a real corn maze cut out in the field complete with orange flags to take with you in case you couldn't find your way out, but with two little ones and TONS of bees and wasps around, we didn't stay too long. We picked a ton of pumpkins in all colors, shapes and sizes! Anna loves decorating the house for holidays!

It was also Henry's first ride in the wagon. He loved it!

Little Rock Zoo and carousel ride

We went to the zoo last weekend for a quick ride on the restored carousel. Clearly, Henry is NOT into moving rides. The fair may not be so fun for this kid! He was so upset, but I can't say that I blame him since I had a little motion sickness myself from the ride. Pathetic! I will say that the carousel goes up and down and round and round...not quite the typical ride. I jokingly said it was like a kiddie rollercoaster on a carousel. Chad called me ridiculous! He was right!
Afterwards, we went to see Mosi the baby (well, almost 2 year old) gorilla that Anna adores. He happened to be closer than we had seen him before, and we got a good picture. This one can replace the pic we cut out from the newspaper and Anna carried around for a few weeks.

Also, I picked Anna up from school one day this week and she was a dalmatian!
