Beach!

We had so much fun at the beach this year! Thank goodness Henry loved it too! You never know with the little ones. We stayed in a condo complex where a friend of ours owned one. They were there too, and it was fun visiting with them! We had such a great time, and it has been hard to get back in the swing of things! Thank goodness our children love the beach as much as Chad and I do!!!

Anna's first ferris wheel ride, and SHE LOVED IT!

Ice cream at the Sugar Shack!

Mommy shopped for a new swimsuit and Daddy took the kids to Build a Bear! Great out of the sun activity!

At the pool on Henry's favorite thing...the crocodile! Anna and Henry made lots of friends at the pool and beach! We did too! It was a fun group staying there!

Hands down, this was Anna's favorite thing! Crab trapping at night with her own flashlight! I think that she felt like such a big kid!

Chad went deep sea fishing with his friend, Mike! We have enjoyed all of the red snapper!

On our way across to the docks on the intercoastal with Mike, Martha, Rose and Ellis to check the crab traps. They ended up catching a bunch and cooked them. Anna loved this, and she even loved eating some crab meat!

Dinner with Rose and Ellis...boiled shrimp! My favorite!!! Anna loved it too!

Lunch at Lulu's (jimmy buffet's sister's restaurant). It was fun, but you can tell by the look on Henry's face that he wasn't quite in the mood! :)

Pictures from our last night on the beach...sorry there are so many!

Fun in Mobile

On our way to FL this year, we stopped and spent the night at my Great Aunt's house in Mobile. We had such a wonderful time together. Anna had an absolute ball playing with Madeline...she wished that she could have come with us to Florida. My sweet great aunt slept in the room with the little girls. We loved visiting with Judy, Jennifer, Kevin, Madeline and Doris!

Anna and Madeline in their matching nighties that Anna picked out...this tradition goes WAY back with all of the mommies and probably even grandmommies!

You would think that after our LONG car ride Anna would be done with vehicles, but I guess that a pink Escalade with a working radio trumps the "are we there yet syndrome" that we had for the previous 9 hours!! :) Chad's response all 30 something times was, "well, we are closer than we were the last time you asked!"

Another long time tradition when we used to go to my great grandmother's house in FL was putting on dance performances. We always danced and sang for everyone. I think that there is a picture of Jennifer, Ashley and I dancing in this same living room when we were about 3!

Henry may not have been part of the dance festivities, but he was definitely in love with all of Doris' yummy food!

Beware of Elmo Peek and Seek toy

Let me start this out by saying that Henry is FINE, but last night he got the octagon shaped piece of this toy wedged in his mouth. We could NOT get it out. It was stuck behind his front teeth diagonally at the roof of his mouth. After about 8 minutes, he started gagging and somehow his jaw unlocked a bit and we were able to get it out. The fire truck was pulling on our street at that time and I was still on the phone with 911 so they cancelled the ambulance. Henry usually doesn't put anything in his mouth anymore, but he had taken it from Anna and was trying to be funny. It was VERY scary, but he is fine...the moral of this story is THROW THIS TOY AWAY!

The toy is for age 18 months and up.

Heifer Village/Dan Zanes concert!

This morning we went to a breakfast at Heifer International's headquarters here in Little Rock. I was so excited about going! We love Heifer's organization...check it out if you are unfamiliar. (www.heifer.org) AND Dan Zanes was giving a little private concert at the breakfast before the public one later in the morning. It was fabulous! At the breakfast, our kids were the only ones up dancing! He has great music, and he actually has won a grammy. We were able to get a family pic with him. Afterwards, we went outside for some of the village festivities! Anna and Henry fed some animals and LOVED the outdoor Dan Zanes concert! We saw lots of friends there and had a great time! Dan Zanes definitely beat a Wiggles concert!

Anna and Daddy watching the magician at the breakfast...Anna's eyes were so WIDE!

Henry loved feeding the animals.

We were right in the front! Anna loved dancing!

Anna and Henry

We have been having lots of fun our first week of summer! Anna has had playdays at school on Tuesday and Thursday which she loves. Henry and I have been playing a lot outside. He loves the water table and our new backyard! Anna received a new Bitty Baby from Uncle Scott this week that she is in LOVE with. She dresses her every morning, feeds her, and puts her in pjs at night. Thank you Uncle Scott! We had a great time at the zoo with friends yesterday watching a bird show. We really have been enjoying some gorgeous weather.

I caught them in Henry's room on his chair reading to the babies one day...I thought it was cute!

Popsicle Playdate

Today we hosted a popsicle playdate for Anna's school class at Yaya and Big Daddy's house. It was such a fun time! Big Daddy saddled up Shadow and all of Anna's friends took a ride. Henry rode as well! The kids went "mudding dude" in the big gator and took golf cart rides in the pastures. They played in the playhouse, treehouse, and on the swingset. Charlie and Mac were even there to help celebrate. It was great seeing them. Charlie decided that he and Big Daddy should do a dog show for the little kids with Cocoa and Sam. It was a great show! Thank you Yaya and Big Daddy! Anna and her friends had a ball. We love you!
